SuperiMAX Company, which is known under the trade name EVO in the market of information and communication technologies in Uzbekistan, announced its intention to begin deploying a mobile network of the fourth generation 4G LTE TDD. An investor in this project will be a market leader in LTE-technologies, the South Korean company KT Corporation. In general, KT Corporation intends to invest $ 10 million in the project.
The company KT Corporation has been investing in Uzbek ICT market since 2008. In particular, it is known for the development of Super iMAX business. During all these years the total amount of investment of the company has amounted to $ 21 million. As representatives of EVO reported, next year Internet access service using 4G LTE TDD technology will become available for subscribers of Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand, and other cities in the Fergana Valley. And by 2016, the company is planning to cover with the new technology other areas of the country, replacing the existing WiMAX technology.
Representatives of the company also noted that 4G LTE will be a catalyst for further growth of Internet market in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the deployment of LTE TDD network will begin the first among the CIS countries.
It should be noted that in networks EVO 4G LTE TDD the data rate substantially exceeds the results showed by other providers of Uzbekistan. This will give users the ability to efficiently and rapidly access the Internet with large amounts of information, download and then view the streaming video. In addition, it lets play online games, download high quality photos, listen to music, and use online applications designed for business and educational purposes.
