Tigo: It is a telecommunication company founded in 2003. Services provided are D-Amps, GSM (850/1900 MHz), GPRS, EDGE, UMTS (850 MHZ), HSPA+. There are 3.073 million subscribers in July, 2012. The company is owned by MIC.

Movistar: It is a telecommunication company founded on 25th July, 1995. Services provided are CDMAOne, GSM (850 MHz), GPRS, EDGE, UMTS (850/1900 MHZ), HSDPA. There are 0.847 million subscribers in Dec., 2006. The company is owned by Telefonica.

Digicel: It is a telecommunication company founded on 19th April, 2001 by Denis O’Brien and headquartered at Hamilton, Bermuda. It serves the areas of El Salvador as well. Services provided are GSM (900 MHz), GPRS, EDGE, UMTS (900 MHz), HSDPA, HSPA+. There are 0.2 million subscribers in March, 2006. The company is owned by Digicel.

RED: It is a telecommunication company that provides several services like iDEN. The company is owned by Intelfon.
