Telenor Sweden starts 4G tri-carrier aggregation

Telenor Sweden announced the launch of tri-carrier aggregation on its 4G network, offering theoretical speeds up to 450 Mbps. The operator, which cooperates with Tele2 on network coverage in Sweden, announced in June the launch of dual-carrier aggregation.

The 3C LTE service will launch in almost 400 locations in Sweden, focusing on city centers with a high concentration of traffic. The company noted that customers need to have a Category 9 phone in order to take advantage of the faster speeds, and only a few such models are available so far on the market.
