Turkcell:  is the leading mobile phone operator of Turkey,based in Istanbul. In February 1994, Turkcell started Turkey’s first GSM network. In Q3 2012, it had a market share of 52,4%. Vodafone :  was formed when Telsim, which was founded by the Uzan Group, was included in Vodafone group on 28 December 2005. On 24 May 2006 Telsim brand name was changed into Vodafone Turkey. Incorporated by the Vodafone Group, one of the biggest international mobile communication companies of the world in terms of revenues, Vodafone Turkey is the 2nd biggest mobile communication company of Turkey with 20.6 million users as of 11 November, 2014, an increase of 105,000 customers from the fourth quarter of 2011. As the second biggest direct international investment of Turkey, the total investment of Vodafone Turkey, including the acquisitions, since 2006 has exceeded TL 11 billion. Avea: currently operating under the Türk Telekombrand, is the sole GSM 1800 mobile operator of Turkey, was founded in 2004, and has reached a nationwide customer base of 17 million as of September 30, 2015. TT&TİM.was officially established on February 19, 2004 as a consequence of the merger between Aycell, Türk Telekom’s GSM Operator and İş-TİM which has been established through the partnership of İş Bankası Group with a share of 51% and TIM_(brand) with a share of 49%. Following the merger, for a period Aria and Aycell brands existed under TT&TİM. A totally new brand “Avea”, reflecting the synergy from the merger was introduced into the market on June 23, 2004.
